Of The Earth

2019, River Arts Folley Hall Gallery, Morrisville, VT

Oak, cotton thread, goldenrod

It would be good to remember my hands

And that memory of repetitive work

The toil of generations born anew in me, women’s work repeated again in action from my hands

From my hands, I cut and weave and bind

To dry and die and rot

Lay your head upon the finished carpet and feel the end of the season
